Sample Dinner Menu

Starters

Freshly prepared homemade soup of the day served with locally baked bread.

Peppered carpachio of yellow fin tuna coupled with
fris é e salad leaves laced in a sweet and sour dressing.

Terrine of local chicken and forest mushrooms enveloped in
Parma ham and accompanied by a red onion confit.

Seared West Country scallops complemented by cucumber pickle and a citrus oil dressing.

Pear, Dorset blue vinney and walnut salad served with a balsamic reduction. (V)

Tian of local crab set off with avocado guacamole and a roasted pepper salsa.
 

Main courses

Char grilled medallions of beef fillet served with buttered
asparagus spears and a marsala and thyme jus.

Grilled cutlets of English lamb with nutmeg scented baby
spinach and a garden rosemary and port reduction.

Pan roasted fillet of sea bass encased in a pesto crust and
served with a sun blushed tomato and black olive risotto.

Butternut squash and sage tortelli combined with a garlic, lemon and
tomato butter and served with a rocket and cherry tomato salad. (V)

Slow roasted belly of pork accompanied by savoy cabbage
and a caraway and local cider sauce.

Baked fillet of turbot paired with braised baby fennel dressed with orange and dill.

Children's Portions:
Richard is happy to prepare smaller portions of many of the main course items for children under 12.

Desserts

Baileys liqueur crème brûlée served with a selection of homemade shortbread biscuits.

Iced vanilla parfait supplemented with a confit of winter berries.

Coconut panna cotta enhanced with a lemongrass and chilli syrup.

Caramelised lemon tart served with a raspberry coulis.

Warm treble chocolate brownie served along with a dark chocolate truffle.

White chocolate crème brûlée served with chocolate sauce.

A selection of West Country cheeses with celery, biscuits and a red onion marmalade.

An assortment of Lovington's ice cream or sorbets.
